Gaming Commission

In Obedience to the Law:

• We will insist on compliance with all requirements of federal law in order to establish and maintain our reputation as one of the country’s model casino operations;
• We will insist on compliance with all requirements of the Gaming Compact in order to establish and maintain a cooperative and mutually respectful working relationship between the Tribe, the State, and all other governmental entities;
• We will insist on compliance with all requirements of the Gaming Ordinance and the Tribal Commission’s regulations in order to ensure the efficiency and integrity of casino operations.

In Cooperation with Each Other:

• We will respect the needs and desires of our fellow Commission employees and work together to achieve our common goals;
• We will respect the needs and desires of the patrons of the casino and work to assist in making their experience a rewarding and worthwhile one;
• We will respect the needs and desires of casino management and staff and work to cooperate with them in jointly creating an honorable and profitable casino environment.

In Furtherance of the Interests of the Tribe:

• We recognize the sovereignty of the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana and will perform our jobs in deference and regard to that understanding;
• We recognize our role as the public representatives of the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana and will serve that role with pride and respect;
• We recognize our responsibility to serve the interests of the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana and will do so to the best of our ability.
